Hanoi to pilot a fire management and alert system by 2025

Under the project titled Breakthrough Tasks for Digital Transformation in Hanoi 2025, Hanoi is expected to improve its ranking in terms of digital transformation.

Hanoi will pilot a fire management and alert system by 2025, which will connect verified dwelling counts and occupant data, according to a newly approved digital transformation project.

This initiative is part of a broader effort outlined in the project titled "Breakthrough Tasks for Digital Transformation in Hanoi 2025." The project aims to enhance the city's digital infrastructure and improve public safety. It was approved by Ha Minh Hai, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, on December 31.

By tackling critical tasks in the execution of digital activities across local agencies and accomplishing government-mandated targets by 2025, the project seeks to improve the city's ranking in terms of digital transformation.

The Hanoi People's Committee has instructed relevant units to effectively utilize the city's main data center to support the development of e-government, utilizing modern technology while ensuring information security and compliance with connectivity and sharing regulations.

In addition, the city will implement a Security Operations Center (SOC) for its information systems, ensuring connectivity and information sharing with the government's information security system and the Ministry of Information and Communications. The plan includes developing an integrated workflow management tool and piloting an Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) platform.

Efforts will also focus on digitizing and establishing a database for administrative procedures related to civil status, nationality and adoption at the Hanoi Department of Justice and local government offices. The project will also develop a digital data management solution for the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade (Phase 1) and a comprehensive land registry and database system.

The city will develop specialized applications to support the operations of government agencies at all levels, facilitating data connectivity and sharing with information systems within and outside the city. In addition, Hanoi has plans for the development and upgrading of applications and services for citizens and businesses.

Hanoi is also encouraging the testing of new models to promote digital transformation and foster the development of a digital economy and society. This year, the city will continue to implement electronic invoicing and introduce digital signatures for business leaders and employees who require them. Other initiatives include integrated electronic tickets for public transportation, standardization of house numeration, creation of a national digital address system, and use of the national population database to assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants for social welfare purposes.

The Department of Information and Communications will oversee and evaluate the implementation of the project across various departments, agencies and local governments to ensure compliance and effective execution of the initiative.
