About a place that preserve Uncle Ho's body from 1969 to 1975

Relic K9 is located on Da Chong hill, Minh Quang commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi, where Uncle Ho`s body was kept from 1969 to 1975.

At Da Chong Hill, in 1957, during a 316 division training session on the Da River, Uncle Ho stopped for lunch on the top of the hill, just under the bottom of three majestic rocks. Looking at the cool climate, terrain, scenery, Uncle chose this location as the base of the government to precaution of war expanding the whole country. In 1960, the General Department of Logistics built a stilted house as a meeting place of Uncle Ho and the Politburo. Around the house is the fortification system, this area is named K9 site.
Years of American air war, several times Uncle Ho and colleagues in the Politburo worked and rested here. On September 2, 1969, President Ho Chi Minh went away. The government chooses K9 is the place to invest in technical equipment to preserve Uncle's body. On December 15th, 1969, Uncle Ho's body preservation equipment was completed before the 10-day deadline. In order to keep secret, the name K9 was changed to K84. At 23:00 on December 23, 1969 Uncle Ho was transferred safely from the K75A to K84, ensuring absolute technical in the morning of December 24, 1969.

Basically, from 1969 to 1975, Uncle Ho's body was preserved in Da Chong Hill (just short time in K2). At 16:00 on July 18, 1975, at K9, a special train carrying Uncle's body was ordered to depart to Hanoi. By 20:00 on July 18, 1975 the convoy arrived at Ba Dinh Square. Careful and dignified bring Uncle's body into the tomb, where his eternal rest. At present, K9 has become a historical place, the Minh Uncle Ho's mausoleum Command headquarters arranged a receptionist department to welcome the delegation of cadres and people nationwide to visit K9. Here visitors light incense for Uncle Ho, visit the Uncle Ho preservation area which is keeping original that is still attached to greenhouses, tunnels and technical facilities. On the left side of the hill is the Da river flowing, tourists can take pictures with gorgeous nature landscape.
This house was built in September 1959 as the workplace and rest of President Ho when the base of Da Chong began to form.

Leaving K9, tourists can visit Suoi Hai lake. This is an irrigation works, honored to welcome Uncle Ho visited on April 15, 1964. Visiting Suoi Hai lake, Uncle Ho said : "The countries that have this lake will make business with it. They will make a small airport, make animal shelters, grow flowers ... This area became a resort, and a place for tourism, bringing economic benefits ". Following the Uncle Ho speech, Suoi Hai area has become an interesting and attractive eco-tourism area. There is a boat to visit the island, and also hotels, guest houses to serve visitors. In 2010, the People's Committee of Hanoi approved the project "Tan Vien Luxury Resort". In future, Suoi Hai lake will be an ideal destination for visitors.
